Puglia in May - Torre Canne Savelletri and Fasano
On Sunday morning we go to Savelletri to have a look at the village and nearby coast. It's a hot and sunny day, almost like summer and there are people on the rocks and occasional sandy inlets and some even swimming.
The village too is busy with people strolling, restaurants preparing for Sunday lunch. We beat a hasty retreat to the cool of our terrace and only go out for a short trip in the afternoon to visit Fasano, which doesn't take long, although the historical centre, as with most historical centres in Puglia, has some picturesque corners,
and two churches side by side. The town is mostly deserted on this hot May Sunday afternoon. On the way back we stop to do some shopping and then go back to the apartment to relax and sunbathe on the terrace and pack up for the following day.
