Costa degli Etruschi May 2021 - Livorno again and Scogli Piatti

Our second visit to Livorno is on Friday. This time we park in the carpark near the Mercatino Americano which costs just 40 cents per hour and is convenient for the Venezia area of Livorno and the canals. The forecast is for rain later in the day but there are already dark clouds and we are not so optimistic. Plus we will be going home on Sunday, so we are a little subdued. Nevertheless it's nice to wander around Livorno, looking at some of the places we saw on our previous visit and this time at Antica Torteria Al Mercato we get two Schiaccie and one Francesino. The rain has held off but it's cloudy so we park with a sea view not far from Terrazza Mascagni. The car is warm but not hot on this cloudy and blustery day. After a relaxing lunch we move the car to near the Accademia Militare where there are some fine villas.

We stop to do some shopping in the Pam supermarket, we take our time to choose some wine and cheese to take back home and as gifts for friends. On the way back we stop and park on the main road and have a look at Scogli Piatti. Fine views of the rough sea on this windy day.
