Malaga in November - Day 11 - last day

The forecast on Friday is for rain all day and we sleep in an hour longer than usual in the morning, I can hear the water flowing through the guttering. We eventually venture out quite late. It's just drizzling a little so we go as far as Muelle Uno and for a stroll around the city anyway because the forecast is worse for the afternoon. We stop to buy something at Mercadona but not much because we are still full from the day before and today is our last day.
Surprisingly, after lunch it isn't raining so we decide to go to El Pimpi for coffee. This turns out to be a bad idea, today is Friday and it's wet outside and the whole historical café and restaurant is packed with people. Instead, we stop at Granier where the €1.70 coffee and pastry special offer mysteriously produces 2 coffees and 5 farton for €3.40. They are surprisingly good, soft, simple and delicious. A musician outside is playing the saxophone and we are happy.
There's no sign of rain so we go back along Palmeral de las Sorpresas and along Muelle Uno where there's also a ray of sunshine.

Octopus is still there and right down the other end there's the replica of an eighteenth century Russian frigate which we stop to look at for a while, especially at the carvings, and the contrast with the Octopus in the background.

The weather is good enough to continue around past the Farola and to Malagueta and the damp sun and lack of wind makes it feel surprisingly mild. We stop at AleHop for a pair of blue light resistant glasses and then finally make our way home by the long way. The next morning on Saturday it's time to pack up and go, a short walk then any easy trip to the airport with the Cercanías train. We like Málaga even more.
