- Monasterio de la Victoria Open on Fridays and free
- Museo Municipal - Palacio de Candia free
- Casa Palacio de Aranibar free (where there's the tourist office)
- Castillo de San Marcos - free on the first Tuesday in the month, but you have to book according to the instructions on this page. If not it costs 10 euros
Cádiz
- Castillo San Sebastian free entry to the castle (being restored and closed September 2018)
- Roman theatre free entry, not much left but interesting interpretation centre and video

- Castillo Santa Catalina free entry, interesting to walk around the castle, views over La Caleta, exhibition rooms with art etc
- Iglesia de Santa Cruz (Old cathedral) free entry
- Parque Genovés, free entry, botanical garden, explanations of some of the most interesting plants
- Walk all around old Cadiz along the sea walls and promenade, Paseo Marittimo
- Follow the different coloured tourist routes marked in colours on the roads and pavements and get the free map from the tourist office to know which route you're doing.
Jerez
- Santo Domingo cloisters, free for a stroll around, also hosts exhibitions.
- Mercado de Asbastos is excellent and it's also nice to stroll around the centre.
- Visit the Tabancos for sherry and Flamenco, you can get a route of the Tabancos at the tourist office.
Sanlucar de Barrameda
- Museo Manzanilla Barbadillo
Jerez

In neomudejar style the 'town hall' can be visited free from the outside together with the gardens behind Jardines históricos del Palacio Orleans-Borbón Mon - Fri from 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. After they shut the gates and there are high walls all around so you can't see anything

- Las Covachas, Gothic style arcade on the road up to Barrio Alto, near Mercado de Abastos

- Plaza de Toros is open 10 - 13 and is free, you can just go in and wander around. We watched some young men practising.
- Palacio Ducal de Medina Sidonia, currently a hotel, guided visits cost 5 euros but you can go into the cafeteria and admire/sit in the patio and rooms of antique furniture for the price of a coffee
Chiclana de la Frontera
- Centro de Interpretacion del Vino y la sal
Very detailed, modern and well set out, with lots of information and even the opportunity to test your nose by sniffing smells in a bottle
- Mercado de Abastos, an excellent and modern air-conditioned market with bars and places to eat round the back.
- Museo de Chiclana - free with lots of different sections dedicated to local history. We just had a quick look but could be useful on a rainy day
